Inisiatif Kepemimpinan Pendidikan untuk Raih Prestasi (INSPIRASI) is a foundation founded by Global School Leaders (GSL) that bridges philanthropists, education practitioners, academics, and policy makers to create innovation in school leadership in Indonesia. The foundation serves as a research engine that implements pilot programs and collects evidence on aspects that can effectively help school leaders (PS) ensure better learning in their schools.
In collaboration with The SMERU Research Institute, INSPIRASI conducted a final study of the Karawang 1 Pilot Program for 25 partner schools. The main objective of this report is to document the impact of the implementation of the principal professional development pilot program implemented by INSPIRASI. The aspects that are seen in measuring the impact of this program are aspects of principals’ learning leadership, teacher teaching practices, and student learning outcomes. The three main aspects are compared between the situation of the initial survey (before the program) and after the implementation of the program (the final survey). In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic situation that occurred during the program implementation period requires that various adjustments be made both in terms of program implementation and teaching and learning activities in schools. Therefore, this report also describes the situation of implementing Distance Learning (PJJ) activities in INSPIRASI partner schools and also describes the adjustments made in program implementation.
