J.W. Saputro is a professor of informatics. Completed a PhD at the University Wisconsin-Madison, he also teaches as a lecturer in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Malaysia and Indonesia. Prof. J.W. Saputro also has expertise in the field of automation business processes, e-government, and big data. He is the founder of the Indonesian Olympiad in informatics since 1995 (www.toki.or.id) which has developed IT talent in Indonesia for the past 25 years. Since 2011, Prof. J.W. Saputro established MCA Indonesia (www.mca.indonesia.go.id) and serves as CEO. Then he also founded DIPI (www.dipi.id) and served as the first Executive Director of the organization.
Currently, he is focusing on developing the 1945 Institute, a startup incubator focusing on technology development bridging research and innovation in academia and industry.
