Agni Rahadyanti began to be involved in community empowerment, especially related to child rights issues, since she was a college student. After graduating from the Faculty of Letters, Airlangga University, Agni joined Wahana Visi Indonesia as a development facilitator for a nutritional improvement program for toddlers. The desire to share experiences and good practices for greater impact led her to become a journalist at Kompas daily for two years.

After getting married, Agni returned to being a social worker at Wahana Visi Indonesia. She is responsible for child rights fulfilment, including increasing child participation through child groups. Agni also began to interact with informal education through parents supporting groups for children with special needs. This led her to finish her master of Special Education in State University of Surabaya.

Educational background and community empowerment experience support Agni’s next assignment as Principal at VITA Junior High School Surabaya. The COVID-19 pandemic was a blessing in disguise that brought to a new chapter in the education world. Agni ensured that students’ education rights were still fulfilled even without face-to-face meetings. Through online learning, the use of the Learning Management System, the strengthening of the coaching system, and the collaboration with school parents, school remains to survive and minimize students’ learning loss.

Currently with INSPIRASI, Agni hopes that children rights will be fulfilled more through a series of workshops for school principals, teachers, communities, and also schools facilitation.
